Sweet Baby E {Lake County IL, Newborn Photographer}

I simply adore new babies.  The calmness they carry within themselves.  The newness associated to all their tiny details.  I am so blessed to be able to capture these forever memories for families.

Remember this cute little family? This is the little guy just waiting to come out and join the rest of the family.  Baby E was so calm and sweet for our photo session. He just loved being curled up in the warm sun that was shining through the windows.  It’s always so great to see how a new baby fits into the family…for this little man he’s the third baby with two older siblings that just love him.  His big sister was purely smitten with him…the smile on her face when she got to hold him was priceless. I can’t wait to see this little guy grow up.

Golden Night {Lake County IL, Maternity Photographer}

There is something special and sweet when you spend an evening with a family as they prepare for one more little baby.  This family was nothing short of fun and a pure joy to spend time with.  I just loved meeting their two little ones before they became a bigger sister and a big brother.
I love maternity photography because it allows you to capture so much…
The last few moments as a family of four…
The sweet hugs as you cherish your little one before he becomes your middle one…
The embrace with your husband as you take a moment to reflect on the family you have…

Time when we all should stop and take stock in the life we have and the joy it brings us.

Are you expecting or know someone who is?  I would love to capture this time for them…please contact me at kate@katefredrick.com or through my information / contact form on the top.

Sweet Baby M {Lake County IL, Newborn Photographer}

Do you ever think to yourself “Wow, I’m a parent! I have a  little life entrusted to me to take care of and raise…to teach all there is to know but yet walk the fine line in allowing her to figure out some things on her own.”  The greatest part of being a photographer is getting to capture the joy and love a family has for their new little one and watching them realize that being a mom and dad was really one of their main goals in life.  Little M will be surrounded by love from not only her mom and dad but also from her grandparents and family friends.  I loved how even at a few weeks old, her calm personality was shining through and she was already trying to figure out what this crazy world surrounding her is all about.  Sweet Baby M…

All that Giggles {Lake County IL, Family Photographer}

I love the minute you meet a family and you know they are going to be fun!  This family was completely that way.  The giggles and smiles were endless no matter what happened.  It’s always fun to see how carefree and happy kids are in their own environment, especially when juice / milk breaks are a common must for all of my photo sessions.

Being a big sister myself it was so cute to see how much this big sister loved her little brother. My favorite moment of the entire photo session was when she ran up and gave him a kiss on the cheek.  His reaction was pure happiness and joy! What do you think of his little smile?  Melts my heart…

We ended our session in quite possibly the coolest way I could image…playing with Play Dough and bubbles!  I know I had a blast with this little family…I sure hope they had the same with me!

Twice as Nice {Lake County IL, Newborn Photographer}

I was so excited to get the opportunity to photograph the cutest twin boys I have ever seen!  The boys arrived around Thanksgiving and provided Mom and Dad with a few extra reasons to be thankful.  Spending the afternoon with the new parents made me believe these two were naturals.  I’m sure taking care of two babies can be a handful but Mom and Dad were pros!  I have a feeling between family and friends these little guys are going to grow up surrounded by a lot of love and joy.  I can’t help but think of the saying “good things come in small packages”…newborn babies fit that perfectly!
