Blessing Baby {Round Lake Beach IL, Newborn Photographer}

It warms my heart when you hear the story of how long a couple waited for their baby blessing to arrive.  It restores your faith and hope that with patience and trust in God what is meant to be will be.  This little family was no different.  Spending the afternoon photographing the newest member of this family was all my pleasure.  I ended up leaving with a warm heart and a sore face from laughing so much.  I wish them nothing but happiness and joy.

Baby J {Newborn Photographer, Vernon Hills IL}

This past summer I got a chance to meet Baby J, an adorable little newborn boy.  He was just 14 days new when I photographed him and it is always a joy to capture those memories that will last a lifetime.  I had taken his parent’s maternity photos earlier in the summer and we all couldn’t wait to meet him.  He was such peaceful and calm baby, a perfect fit with his parents.  I just love the look a new Mommy and Daddy give their first child…Priceless.

Do you remember what it’s like to be six?  To have the best imagination in the world and focus on the good things life offers, like the tooth fairy and magical kisses that make everything better.

Being six is all about being silly, making the best monster faces you possibly can, and laughing until tears are practically running down your face.  I got the privilege to spend time with an awesome dad and daughter a few weeks ago and can honestly say my face hurt from laughing and my heart was swelled with the bond these two share after spending just a few hours with them.

A New Family’s Love {Gurnee IL, Newborn Photographer}

I could feel it…the minute I walked into their home and saw the smile come over their face when they introduced me to their little guy.

I could feel it…when they held their little guy in their arms and gave him kisses and snuggles.

Love, joy, happiness…  They were new parents learning the ropes of parenthood, not 100% the easy way, if you ask me.  It may have taken them a little longer to bring their little guy home but one thing was for certain, they weren’t taking a single moment for granted as a new little family.

I was asked to capture those first few moments of being a new family.  A task I adore and don’t take lightly.  The task at hand is really about…how do you capture a parent’s love 9+ months in the making?
