Do you remember being young and fearless? Having a favorite toy and fascination with trucks? Ok, so maybe I wasn’t the fearless type of girl and maybe big trucks startled me but I did have a stuffed cat that was just glued to my side growing up so that counts; right?
I got the opportunity to spend time taking photos of a little guy who was fearless, in love with his favorite ball, and if a truck went by he would freeze what he was doing just to watch it. I thought it was adorable how fascinated a little kid can get with something so simple as a truck until my husband lovingly reminded me I’m the same way when those Geico commercials come on (especially the camel one about HUMP Day; cracks me up every time). Don’t they say geniuses are often times easily amused? If not, let’s at least pretend that’s true.
Anyway, we decided to meet downtown Chicago and explore Millennium Park, the best place to let a little guy run around with his ball. Plus there was the added bonus of the Crown Fountain to cool ourselves off in after playing in the sun. With the summer heat hitting the Chicagoland area recently giving any kid the chance to cool off in a fountain is a good thing.
