Unexpected {Lake County IL, Newborn Photographer}

Photo sessions are always exciting.  You never know how the baby will be or if the older siblings will be up for snuggling with their little sibling. It’s the thrill of working my baby skills that get me excited for every session.  But this little guy had quite an unexpected thing happen during his session!  During his session we encountered a crazy storm that caused a power outage.  I’ve never had that happen before and there really wasn’t anything my baby skills could do to get the power back on.  Thankfully though, we were able to reschedule some extra photo time and captured some pretty awesome family photos.

Squishy Little E {Lake County IL, Newborn Photographer}

New babies are by far one of my favorite things to photograph.  Their little details, snuggly bodies, and tiny noises all just make me melt.  This little man had not only great hair but amazing little checks, perfect little lips, and the best little snuggly body.  Trust me you’ll agree when you see him! He loved being snuggled up and I have to agree that blue looks good on him!  He ended his session giving me the biggest yawn ever.  It was a pleasant surprise photo that I captured.  I love when I’m able to capture their little movements / personalities that add some character to their photos.

Baby Landon {Lake County IL, Newborn Photographer}

My best friend just recently had her second little baby.  It’s wild when I think back just a few years ago and how I stood with her and her husband as they became a family of two…now they are a family of four!  I am so happy for them and so blessed to capture some forever memories of their little ones.  They are little only once…and you never want to forget how squishy they were and how tiny their little fingers / toes were…the things you always will remember.

Baby L is going to be totally surrounded by love, ranging from his Big Sister to his Grandparents and Aunts / Uncles.  You can tell but just how amazing of a quilt Grandma K made Baby L that he has been thought about greatly.  He was such a natural holding onto the monkey the second we placed it by him.  It’s almost as if he’s telling his Grandma how much he loves monkeys and the quilt!

Blessing Baby {Round Lake Beach IL, Newborn Photographer}

It warms my heart when you hear the story of how long a couple waited for their baby blessing to arrive.  It restores your faith and hope that with patience and trust in God what is meant to be will be.  This little family was no different.  Spending the afternoon photographing the newest member of this family was all my pleasure.  I ended up leaving with a warm heart and a sore face from laughing so much.  I wish them nothing but happiness and joy.
